Professional

Responsibilities

“Safety is Job-One at Button Transportation. We take this responsibility very seriously. To be a professional carrier, it takes the right drivers, the right equipment, and the right safety program. Our commitment to safety and safe operations is part of our corporate structure and our culture.” – BOB BUTTON

BUTTON’S SAFETY PROGRAM

Button Transportation’s safety manager is a full-time,

highly-experienced, executive-level employee. Our

safety team of managers and dispatchers have over

100-years of combined experience in the transportation

business. Our safety program is designed to identify the

best, most professional drivers we can hire.

Every prospective employee is subject to a management level interview, a skills evaluation, a driving test and specific safety training before being assigned to a truck and a load. Button managers also evaluate on-the-job driver performance to provide coaching and guidance for safety sake.

We promote from within. When a new driver enters our system, he or she is assigned to a specific truck with a particular purpose. Given our highly diversified service offerings, an entry-level driver can expand their skills throughout the year carrying a variety of products with different equipment. The more skills a driver has, the safer that driver is on the road. At Button Transportation, driving trucks is not a job; it is a career and a profession.

Our safety record is impeccable.  We have a lot of people on the road.  Their safety and the safety of people around us is always Job One.  No one in our company will ever ask a driver to take a half-measure, cut-corners, and run illegally.  At Button Transportation, we do everything possible to maintain our equipment in top running conduction.  We train and coach our drivers to the top standards of safety in the transportation business.  Making the delivery is one thing; making the delivery safely is EVERYTHING.
