About Us

Family-Owned and Operated

“My destiny was to be the 5th generation of farmers in my family.  I got myself fired from the family farm in 1977. Since I owned a $3,500 Peterbilt truck and needed a job, I got into trucking.  With all our farming relationships, it was natural that we focused Button Transportation toward Northern and Central California agri-business. Our fertilizer and harvest transportation work is the backbone of our business.”

My family works in the business; and with a bunch of Grandkids running around, we are working on our third generation in trucking.  It’s a lot of work, but it’s a great life.”

Anthony Iten joined the company in 2000. He took a central role in operations promoting to President of Operations in 2010. Anthony directly managed all our fertilizer and harvest hauls, as well as all Button industrial and feed grade transports.

2017 was our 40th year in business. With an eye toward the future, we named Anthony President of Button Transportation. Anthony's proven leadership makes him the right person to guide Button Transportation into our future operations.

Asset-based

“Every day we climb into our trucks, we take on the responsibility of transporting our customer’s goods safely and professionally.  We take this responsibility seriously; we drive trucks with people and product that needs to get there on time and intact.  We built Button Transportation with a lot of great drivers, solid dispatchers, talented mechanics, and the best equipment we can run.  I think being an asset-based carrier means something extra.”

High-touch Dispatcher

Communications

“Common to all our transportation work is timely, professional dispatch communication. We keep our customers informed about the status of their delivery, using the latest tracking technologies available. All our rigs have GPS load tracking for real-time load status.”

If you need professional, timely transportation service, consider Button Transportation.

Innovation

“Just because business is done this way today, it doesn’t mean business will be done that way tomorrow.  We embrace technology and innovative thinking to find better ways of getting our transportation work done faster, safer and at a lower cost.  I think we’ve made some headway in this over the years.”
